PUBLIC NOTICE: REVIEW OF THE SECOND REVENUE SHARING FORMULA AMONG COUNTY GOVERNMENTS

The principal function of the Commission is to make recommendations concerning the basis for equitable sharing of revenue raised by the National Government between the national and county governments, and among the County Governments. The Commission has embarked on a review of the second basis for revenue sharing among county governments. In exercising the principle of openness and accountability including public participation in financial matters, the Commission invites views from the public on:

  1. Review of the second basis for sharing revenue (summarised below)
  2. Proposals on new approaches to equitable revenue sharing

The second basis uses parameters and weights specified below:

The detailed reports on the first and second revenue sharing bases can be accessed from the Commission offices or online on www.crakenya.org.

Proposals received will be used to inform the preparation of the third revenue sharing basis which will be used to share revenues among counties for a period of five years, effective 2019/2020. Please submit your proposals to the undersigned by end of March 2018 using info@crakenya.org .
